About Our Foundation

MyBodyMyAsset has since inception reached out to more than 5000 women physically within Lagos and it's environs.

We have given three cooking gas at different programs and seasons to participants who embrace breast and cervical screening.

We do that to encourage more women and adult girls to embrace the awareness campaign. We regularly play cancer awareness football match in October of every year

We have a membership strength of over 40 amazing beautiful women, who took part in our screening and decided to join the NGO, have been consistently supporting the foundation in cash, kind and massive referrals.

We aim to become a household name, offering infection education, cancer awareness, screening and counseling in Nigeria and Africa at large. We have played 3 seasons of cancer awareness football matches, offered free breast and cervical screening to many, given two fruit blenders, three cooking gas and several other kitchen utensils to winners of our lifestyle choice challenge.

We have members who are resident here in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and United Kingdom…. Most of our campaigns are online and we have reached over 200, 000 people with our online campaigns.

MBMACF is a grassroot foundation. It centers on awareness and infection education, offers free screening to its community and environs. It reaches out to women with a zest of promoting general women's health. MBMACF reaches out via Social media, face to face, telephone conversation and counselling. The founder Mrs. Franca Eze is a cervical cancer survivor and her strength is in creating awareness, a task which she is so passionate about and carries out judiciously.

Our project with Actionaid Nigeria through Women's Right and Health Project WRAHP started in June 2020. Our first quarter task, was awareness, screening and counselling which was carried out in two centres Akowonjo and Surulere. Total number of 270 women and adult girls were reached who attended our health talk and seminar, but only 198 were screened. 22 of them tested positive, a WhatsApp group was created for online counselling, everyone of them were encouraged to go for a CONFIRMATORY test.

A few of them visited the office for face to face counselling, 4 of the women who followed through with the counselling have since gone for CONFIRMATORY tests and were confirmed negative after following our #LiveWell programs and doing everything there were advised to.

So far, every woman who have participated in our screening is very happy because we give them the opportunity to share their concerns and encourage them to #LiveWell.

Our program coordinator visited the Ejire Primary Health Centre at Itire to monitor and evaluate the process. She also visited the Iyaloja of Ijesha Market to tell them about the free Lagos State cervical cancer screening. Our president, went to the centre for the Lagos State free screening near her at PHC 39 Shitta Street, Agege Dopemu area and also to Dopemu Market with our communication officer to see the Iyaloja and tell the women about the free cervical cancer screening going on and directed them to the centre near the market. Our team member covering Ipaja Ayobo area went to Jankara market, met with the Iyaloja, informed her and other market leaders and women about the ongoing free cervical cancer screening brought to us by the Lagos State government.

For us, at MyBodyMyAssetCancerFoundation awareness is daily and we intend to keep every woman around us informed about every information about breast and cervical cancer in our disposal for the improvement of their health and wellbeing. To mark this year's international women's day celebration, #MyBodyMyAssetCancerFoundation celebrated online the First Lady of Lagos state Dr Mrs. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Director General of World Trade Organisation, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Executive Director of Women's Right and Health Project Mrs. Bose Ironsi and 60 other outstanding women who have impacted our society positively. We also had a time out with 15 women who have done both breast and cervical screening at Barracuda Beach, Lekki were we had life changing discussion, entertainment, refreshments and photo sections to mark the international women's day celebration for this year. We are keen on ensuring to that both breast and cervical cancer is eradicated completely by preaching the awareness message daily, encouraging women to see the need for early detection and prevention practice.

We believe that cervical cancer shouldn't be a death sentence if appropriate steps are taken.

Please Note that:

The first time I (Mrs. Franca Eze) was screened for cervical cancer was at the Lagos State Skill Acquisition Centre Egbeda opposite Oba Palace where I was doing my one year training in fashion and design. It was my first opportunity to hear, about cervical cancer when Society for Family Health came to the centre to create awareness and carry out screening for women and adult girls. I personally always give the credit to the Lagos State Government for establishing the Skill Acquisition Centres and I encourage everyone who knows about the centre to enrol and acquire their desired skills as no knowledge is lost. Thank you, Lagos State Government, Thank you Society for Family Health and Mamador Nigeria for rebranding us and all the organisations that have support us so far.... We employ all other well meaning Nigerians and organisations to join us in this fight....

Thank you and God bless, Amen.
